Be a Part of the Celebration!
Commencement is a special time where we join together to celebrate the achievements of our students. It is very important to them to see their teachers and mentors at their graduation ceremony.
Register to participate in Commencement 2008
All ladder-rank faculty, adjunct professors, visiting faculty, lecturers, and supervisors of teacher education are invited to attend and participate in the faculty procession. Arrangements have been made to provide free academic dress to those who require it.
The ceremonies will be held on the Pierce Lawn, east of the Bell Tower. Please visit the Schedule page for ceremony dates and times.
PhD hooding will occur at the Graduate Division Ceremony on Monday, June 16 at 7:00 p.m. If you will be hooding, please plan to attend this ceremony. In addition, you are also encouraged to participate in your college ceremony.
If you are not hooding a Ph.D candidate, please plan to attend your college ceremony.
Each year, the University incurs hundreds of dollars in unnecessary rush freight charges due to regalia orders that are submitted after the deadline. Given the current budget situation we respectfully ask that you assist us in eliminating this unnecessary expense, by registering your intent to participate and ordering your regalia by the deadline of 3:00 p.m. on May 23.
